Get your dirty little minds out of the gutter readers, for once this is not a post about sex, relationships or dating…well not directly anyway. This game was introduced to me while on a date and it prompted me to buy the book, so I want to share it with all of you!
The game is actually called The Cube, Keep the Secret and it’s based on a book (same title) by Annie Gottlieb and Slobodan Pesic. The Cube, according to the introduction page, “is an imagination game- and more.”
So, how do you play? Well, here it is:
Imagine a desert landscape. It is utterly simple: a Horizon line, sand and sky.
In this desert landscape, there is a cube. See it. Describe it. What size is it? Where specifically is it? What specifically is it made out of? (There are no rules or right or wrong answers. Just describe what you see)
Now, in the desert landscape, along with the cube, there is also a ladder. Describe it. Size?Position? What’s it made of? Where is it in relation to the cube?
Next, in this desert landscape there is also a horse. Describe it. What kind of horse is it? Size?Color? What is it doing? where is it in relation to the cube and ladder?
Now somewhere in this landscape is a storm. Describe it. Where is it/ What kind of storm is it? How does it affect-or not affect- the cube, ladder and horse?
Finally, in this desert there are flowers. Describe them. How many are there? What kind? color? Where are they in relation to the cube, ladder, horse and storm?
You have created this mysterious image: five element, arranged in space in a way that is unique to you. No one else sees what you do.
Are you ready for the secret of the cube? If so, leave me a comment with details of your image and I will reveal the secret in my next post 😉 Trust me, this is kinda cool!!
